The frog in the photos above were recently acquired from a private collection. A Calcite frog by Bernard Homer Jr. (d), it is just over 1.5 inches high and $125. Next, two views of a double sided corn maiden by Vickie Quandelacy. Carved of pink snail shell, this one measures just over 3 1/8 inches high and is $180.

By Hiram Peynetsa, a picture jasper bear standing 2.5 inches high, this one is also $130. Two views of a pair of onyx bears by Ed Lementino. 2 1/8 inches long and 1.25 inches high. $48.

Both by Claudia Peina and all carved from elk antler. The Hopi Maiden at left is just over 3 inches high and $340. The next two photos are of a double sided owl, one wide eyed and the opposite side sleeping. 2.75 inches high and $165.

We frequently get asked if we have pouches or bags for the carvings but over the past some years they have been hard come by, but we do now. The fabric bags at left are Tibetan and are $2.50 each. WE can send photos and details of others we have. The Deerskin pouches were brought in yesterday (July 28) by an old friend of mine: Ron Koopee, a very talented artist. (We will be showcasing some of his paintings in September.) The first two are 2.5 by 4.5 inches. The plain one is SOLD and the fringed one is $45. The natural deerskin pouch with his artwork is the type used to hold hooma - ceremonial corn meal. It measures just over 3 by 5 inches. SOLD.

Above is a flight of dragons carved from jet by Destry Siutza. This piece features inlaid turquoise dots on the backs and tails of the dragons along with great details on the wings & scales of the creatures. It is 6 inches long, 3.5 inches wide and 1 1/8 inches high. $500.

A marble bison by Lynn Quam, measuring 3 3/8 inches long and $90. The hunter is by Wilson Romero of Cochiti. This is quite a departure for him and falls more into a sculpture category. A sodalite bushytail by Evalena Boone. 2.6 inches long and $60. The wonderstone bushy tail in the two photos at right is also by Evalena, 3 5/8 inches long and $50.

Two beautiful and sleek magpies by Calvert Bowannie. Both are carved from black marble. The first one is the photo at left is 3.5 inches long and $56. The one at right is 2.5 inches long and $54.

A sweet found stone bear with an apple coral bird by Fred Bowannie. This duo stands 3 1/8 inches high and is 3 7/8 inches long. $450.

The first bear in this row was made by Rosella and Loubert Soseeah, carved from rainbow fluorite it measures just under 2 inches from nose to tail. $100. Next, is a fossil coral bear with inlaid turquoise heartlines on either side by Lynn Quam. 3 inches long and $65. A magnesite whale by Alex Tsethlikai. 2 1/2 inches long and $54. Last but not least is a Zuni stone and jet sheep by Tim Lementino, 1 7/8 inches long and $36.

A bobcat by Bryan Laiwekete, this one is carved of marble and measures just over 2.5 inches long. $85. The four beavers in the photo at right were all made by Angel Yatsayte. The one at left is carved from onyx, the two in the middle are carved from recycled bowling balls (“bowlerite”) and the one at far right is dolomite. Each one is ~1.25 inches long and each $16.

The sodalite mountain lion is by Ronnie Lunasee, it is 2 5/8 inches long and $55. An onyx eagle by Donovan Laiwekete, 2.5 inches from beak to tail and $48.

The first two carvings in this row are both by Benina Kallestewa. The little horned lizard is carved from travertine onyx, it is 1 3/8 inches long and $50. The onyx wolf is 2 3/8 inches long and $70. The Mother of Pearl shell bison was made by Kevin Quam. 2 inches long and $48.

The carvings in this row are all by Andres Quandelacy. A gold lip Mother of Pearl shell bear, it is just over 1.5 inches long and $100. Next in the row is a horse carved of gold lip Mother of Pearl shell measuring 1 7/8 inches long. $75. A gold lip mother of pearl shell mountain lion with inlaid turquoise eyes & heartline. 2.25 inches long and $105.
